Amber started her insurance career in 2007 as an Independent Adjuster for a national firm, and moved to Coast Claims in late 2021. Amber specializes in property damage losses, which include large, complex commercial, multi-family residential and strata / condominium. Amber is a seasoned multi-lines adjuster with experience as a control adjuster for several programs nation-wide. Amber holds a Level 3 Alberta adjuster’s license and a Chartered Insurance Professional designation. In addition, Amber is licensed to handle claims in British Columbia and Alberta. Amber is excited to be a part of Coast Claims, servicing the Prairie region.

Jonathan has been in the insurance industry since 1990 and has worked as a field-based adjuster since 1996, serving both insurance companies and as an independent adjuster here in Alberta, Canada, and in the UK. Jon has primarily handled property damage claims for residential and commercial losses, including numerous CAT situations such as tornadoes, flooding, hail, wind, and fire. He has been designated as the adjuster to handle sensitive claims within the insurance industry and multiple biohazard situations. Additionally, he has extensive experience working with Special Investigations units to detect and prove fraud, as well as handling condominium claims for condo corporations and unit owners. As a senior adjuster, he has spent the last several years primarily handling large and mostly total loss residential fire claims.

Kent Swanson has been an asset to the insurance industry since 1998. The first seven years of his career were spent with international insurers, where he handled a variety of property, casualty, automobile and personal injury claims. He adjusted claims and examined files, both independent adjuster files and litigation files with counsel. In 2004, Kent obtained his Level 3 independent adjuster license, and has worked as an independent adjuster ever since. He specializes in property and casualty losses, including large/complex losses. Kent had extensive knowledge of and experience in hospitality losses, agriculture losses, municipality losses, builders risk losses, energy losses, environmental losses, and boiler and machinery losses.

Luke Smith, CIP, CFEI

Luke has joined the Edmonton team as a Senior Adjuster and Director of the Prairies Region. He holds a Level 3 Alberta adjuster’s license and a Chartered Insurance Professional designation. In his 21 years of insurance service, Luke has gained extensive claims adjusting experience, having specialized in large property claims, both residential and commercial. Most recently in his career, he held a senior management position with a national firm, responsible for Northern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Territories. Luke’s experience working across these regions has provided him with a wide knowledge base and skillset on both the management and adjusting sides.

Rob Redekopp

Rob Redekopp

Rob Redekopp, brings over 25 years in the insurance industry. He started out as a private investigator and conducted surveillance on bodily injury claims in Alberta. He worked his way up to managing a branch in Central Alberta and eventually moved to Toronto to become the Vice President, Operations, managing and overseeing 21 offices across the country for a national firm. From there, Rob started his own regional business for the last 15 years, sold it and decided to move on to adjusting claims.
His experience as an investigator has given Rob a unique skill set for adjusting. Rob has been involved in many different claims in the insurance industry but has also worked for the Alberta and Federal government on contract, as well as many different corporations across the country, helping them with investigations.
