Brett started his career as a claims adjuster in 1991 with a property/casualty insurer in Victoria, BC, handling all lines. He quickly became the company’s senior field adjuster in that office, handling large and complex losses for a large region. In 1997, he joined a national independent adjusting firm where he continued to handle large losses and investigate serious liability claims. He moved to Kamloops to be branch manager in 2004, before joining AIA in December 2006, opening the AIA Kamloops branch office. Bryce’s academic achievements are equally impressive. He holds a technical diploma in aircraft mechanics, a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, and a doctorate in social sciences. Adding to his versatility, Bryce is a licensed unrestricted commercial diver with over a thousand working dives along the B.C. coast. Ian Langmann brings with him broad but relevant work experience. Surrounded by his father’s antique store at an early age Ian eventually became involved in selling and appraising international art and antiques and learning their restoration. Ian graduated from BCIT’s forestry program in 1990 and worked across the BC coast for Interfor before settling down again in Vancouver. Here, using his restoration knowledge, he started his own contracting firm renovating homes in Vancouver’s West Side. After deciding to move to Courtenay in 2012, Ian started with a local firm specializing in new home construction and eventually managed the construction of a multi-unit development. Returning to his work as an independent contractor, Ian continued doing renovations as well as working with several property management firms completing remediation and repairs to homes and strata units. Jim started his second career in 2015 as an insurance adjuster after a 35-year career in the RCMP. Rob Redekopp, brings over 25 years in the insurance industry. He started out as a private investigator and conducted surveillance on bodily injury claims in Alberta. He worked his way up to managing a branch in Central Alberta and eventually moved to Toronto to become the Vice President, Operations, managing and overseeing 21 offices across the country for a national firm. From there, Rob started his own regional business for the last 15 years, sold it and decided to move on to adjusting claims.
His experience as an investigator has given Rob a unique skill set for adjusting. Rob has been involved in many different claims in the insurance industry but has also worked for the Alberta and Federal government on contract, as well as many different corporations across the country, helping them with investigations.

Ross entered the insurance industry in 1989, spending the first 24 years of his career with ICBC, culminating in a leadership role as Section Manager in the Special Investigation Unit. He joined Coast Claims in 2014. Along the way, he obtained his FCIP and CRM designations and has completed numerous programs and courses in criminal investigation and related fields through the Justice Institute. Ross now specializes in all types of marine claims, utilizing his mechanical expertise and deep knowledge of the marine industry. He has long-term experience in investigations and liability claims, including marine losses and litigated injury claims. Ross’s energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and when combined with his expertise, make him a valuable addition to Coast Claims.

Growing up in Kelowna, Ryan was introduced to the insurance industry in 1999 when he worked for a local restoration firm while attending university. He worked as a general insurance adjuster in the Lower Mainland until he became an independent adjuster in 2004. After 11 years in the independent field, including a happy and productive stint managing the Duncan office of Coast Claims, Ryan returned to the Okanagan, and then returned to Coast Claims in the fall of 2017 as manager of the Kelowna office. Ryan holds a CIP designation, and is a multi-line adjuster with an emphasis on residential and commercial property claims, general liability, heavy equipment and marine losses.
