Brett joined Coast Claims in 2019, after previously working in another adjusting company since 2006. Brett started his career as a claims adjuster in 1991 with a property/casualty insurer in Victoria, BC, handling all lines. He quickly became the company’s senior field adjuster in that office, handling large and complex losses for a large region. In 1997, he joined a national independent adjusting firm where he continued to handle large losses and investigate serious liability claims. He moved to Kamloops to be branch manager in 2004, before joining AIA in December 2006, opening the AIA Kamloops branch office. Brett has considerable experience investigating and handling most types of claims, including personal and commercial property, large losses, commercial and general liability, government and municipality losses, business interruption, transportation and marine, crime and employee dishonesty, auto claims, watercraft, wage loss investigations and environment claims.
